<--Jayme Gutierrez --> Jayme Gutierrez

Jayme
Loud, demanding and talented Jayme is the man behind the music. The character is surprisingly similar to the real life version.
Joe!

Quiet, apathetic and a daydreamer, Joe! started playing bass for his brother Jayme. He doesn’t really know how it happened.
As you all may have noticed or will soon notice, there are a few characters in the art work that may not make sense (Bunny as a drummer, eh?). Well, here is a little story behind them;

The Bunny
As Jayme didn’t have a drummer and bunnies were a recurring theme in the designs that we really liked we decided to merge the two ideas into one. We thought that it would be pretty cool to have a bunny as a drummer (though if that were to be carried out in real life then the poor guy wearing the bunny suit would die of dehydration or heat stroke, although it would be pretty cool to have a vertically challanged drummer that always gigs in an angry bunny suit…) The Bunny’s anger represents Jayme’s own anger and frustration at things not being good enough/correct/up to the standard/etc.. The Bunny takes out his anger and agression on the drums instead of on Jayme, who doesn’t make things any better by treating The Bunny like a cute, ikle, wikle, itty, bitty, wabbit (with a mangled eye) (…that also has a story, but he doesn’t like to talk about it).
Molly the One-Eyed Cat
The cat is loosely based on our own cat Molly (who is also missing an eye). It is the drummer bunny’s pet, given to him patronisingly by Jayme. The Bunny treats it badly and will often forget to feed it. The cat doesn’t seem to mind.
The Happy Little Bunnies
In this magical artwork world of Jayme Gutierrez (created by Rie-G, Jayme’s sister) the bunnies that appear repeatedly represent inspiration and the characters are always chasing after them.
The Scruffy Birds
The birds that follow Joe! around are very good friends of his, they keep him company and defend him from Jayme’s excentricities and nagging and The Bunny’s anger. The real life Joe!’s defence mechanism against Jayme is to daydream and (like in most cartoons) on doing so sweet little birdies appear to tweet and sing and distract him from the demanding monster that is Jayme. In the artwork world these sweet little birdies will violently attack Jayme forcing him to flee.

The Chumps themselves represent two of Jayme’s main slaves. Rie-G (his sister; Chump One) and Natalia (his brother Joe!’s girlfriend; Chump Two).
The Really Short One
Chump One is possibly the only human alive that understands Jayme’s strange shrieks and will translate for him, although occasionally not even she knows what the hell it is he’s saying. She’s prone to quietly fume in anger and is known to take care of Jayme; he reminds her of her cat.
The Tall One
Chump Two will possibly kill any fan that gets too close to Joe! Her hair often helps her with this. (This isn’t an exaggeration, her hair is actually like that). She herself is actually a really nice person. But not the hair, oh no. Do not feed it after 12 or get it wet…
